Deborah Sumter currently works as Reseacher Circular Design and Entrepreneurship at Amsterdam University of Applied Science. In 2021 she defended her PhD in Circular Economy Competencies for Design at the Delft University of Technology. Her doctoral thesis concluded with a set of 9 key circular economy competencies for design.

Deborah is someone that eagerly combines her passion for sustainability with music. You can find her behind the decks as DEBORAH X. In 2019 she co-founded the Rotterdam-based (all female) DJ collective AMPFEMININE. AMPFEMININE is committed to more inclusivity behind the DJ booth and safety on the dance floor.
